Something about the shape and color of this makes it outstanding.  It's like a kick in the visual cortex (in a good way).  Is this "Snail Factory" art?  The eyeballs make it look like a cartoon, but the rest seems serious and realistic.  It's like H. R. Giger was chosen to illustrate the money you could be saving with Geico.

Thanks! Not Snail Factory related, just a fun scribble. It's meant to be shiny and colorful and cartoony. The same sort of form and content as the Bellmer series but a kids version, clean and light, innocent. Glad you like it!

Now that I've looked at it more I can see one thing to criticize.  The reflected light has this harsh glitchy look to it.  It's hard to describe but you can see what I mean, right?

Do you mean the grain in the shines? If so, I left a bit in this one to keep it more vibrant, there's less in the new one- aribach.deviantart.com/art/Cal...    But I tend to prefer the harsh jagged look on works like these to letting it go completely slick and white. If it looks like computer glitching I may need to relent on that one.

It's not that obvious, but I find it bothersome.  I can't speak for anyone else.  I'm reminded of the Internet of yore where most images looked like they were made up of grains of colored sand.

I kind of liked that ancient gif grain. I didn't replicate it intentionally but I did forgo the fairly easy steps needed to remove it.

While we're on the subject, there seems to be an eraser shaving on the carotid artery of the right creature in "Calla Lillies."

That does indeed appear to be an eraser shaving. It also has a cameo in the last 2 Snail Factories because I don't know how to clean scanner glass safely.
